KITCHEN POSITIONS

Join Camp Chestermere’s 2026 Kitchen Team and help create a welcoming dining experience for campers and guests. Our kitchen team works together to serve up to 300 people every week, keeping busy kids fueled and energized. You’ll spend the summer with a tight-knit, dedicated team, and have the chance to build leadership skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

KITCHEN LEADS

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead meal preparation and service for up to ~300 people (volume varies by week)

  • Assign stations/tasks and coordinate workflow during your shifts

  • Ensure kitchen SOPs/checklists are followed (open/close, sanitation, labeling, storage)

  • Maintain food safety standards and correct issues immediately

  • Ensure allergy/diet procedures are followed and escalate concerns as needed

  • Support training and coaching of Kitchen Assistants and volunteers

  • Maintain a positive, efficient, team-first kitchen culture

Requirements

  • Food Safe (or equivalent) required (completed before the season start; details provided during hiring)

  • Kitchen experience in a structured, high-volume environment preferred

  • Strong leadership, pace, and cleanliness standards

  • Able to work a flexible schedule Sunday–Friday (hours vary based on programming)

  • Reliable, respectful, and able to lead under pressure
