Ministry Positions

These roles provide a unique opportunity to connect directly with campers, build relationships and model the love of Jesus.  These roles require individuals who are comfortable leading devotionals, sharing their faith journey and praying for campers as they walk alongside them in a fun-filled, high energy and exciting camp experience.

Program + Admin Positions

Modeling the love of Jesus through service, these roles are critical for those who enable ministry to happen by designing and delivering programs, keeping kids safe and healthy and ensuring summer camps run like clockwork.  Available Activity and admin roles include:

P R O G R A M + A D M I N

The Program and Activities Lead is responsible for all programming including wide games, theme meals, and a wide array of camper activities not limited to climbing, archery, sports, drama, and art. This position trains, coordinates, and mentors those teaching program activities.  Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare an inventory of games and activities for groups of various ages and sizes (small to large groups).  Ensure activities consider weather impacts and prepare for alternatives when weather conditions limit outdoor activities.

  • Consider how to engage campers with limited skills and abilities and a variety of interests so that all campers are engaged in activities.

  • Prepare training material for staff to use when running programs.

  • Create schedules and partner closely with Day Camp and Overnight staff to ensure activity transitions are efficient and effective.

  • Ensure safety procedures and associated documentation (ie training logs) for all activities.

  • Manage supply inventories and ensure equipment and supplies are organized, clean and in good working order.

  • Partner with Program and Activity Team Lead Support to manage leadership duties.  (Program and Activity Team Lead Support will be a peer, but will not start until end of June)

  • Attend and participate in all staff devotionals, fireside times and evening events.

The Lifeguard is responsible for safety for all waterfront activities. This includes training and coordinating staff and activity instructors to ensure waterfront programming is safe, engaging, and fun.  Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate with waterfront leaders and volunteers in establishing and maintaining effective waterfront procedures.

  • Ensure all safety procedures are in place, clearly communicated and enforced; lead training sessions on waterfront procedures.

  • Perform lifeguard duties during activity days (May/June) and summer camps.

  • Attend and participate in all staff devotionals, fireside times and evening events.

  • Responsible for ensuring all waterfront equipment is up to safety standards, as well as maintaining it throughout the summer.

  • Effectively partner and manage division of duties with other lifeguard.  (A second lifeguard position will be filled for the July-August camping season.) 

  •  Lifeguarding certification required.
