WEEK 1 - OLYMPICS

Staff Highlights:

  • "The moments in between the busyness of camp and children: Finding those quiet moments one on one with both campers and staff/volunteers is so beyond magical. The moments that seem to go unnoticed to others may just be the ones that stick with others forever."

  • "Had a small moment with [camper], she was talking about how she wanted to be friends with 2 girls in her cabin and didn't have the confidence to say it, I talked to her and told her about how God says we should be strong and courageous, and I challenged her to ask them to be friends the next day! Later on that day she came up to me said I completed the challenge and said God gave her strength 😊😊😊"

​Camper Highlights/ Parent Feedback:

  • "He loved the independence of getting to choose snacks at Hortons Hut. He loved power tubing, target shooting with the slingshots, Gaga ball and kayaking.

  • "[Camper] attended two years ago and I was especially impressed this year with the level of engagement and supervision from camp staff."

  • "[Camper] was really enthusiastic about attending each day and thrived by having a variety of activities to participate in throughout the week. 

WEEK 2 - MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

Staff Highlights:

  • "Getting to know some of my campers and seeing them come out of their shell"

  • "Seeing the girls who didn’t know each other become friends throughout the week"

  • "My campers grew a desire for Bible stories"

WEEK 3 - DISNEY

Staff Highlights:

  • "A little kid told me he prayed to get a target and shot it dead on!"

  • "Nightly devos where my kids would be curious about God and feel comfortable enough to ask me questions related to faith and Jesus." 

  • "7 out of 8 of my campers did the prayer of accepting Jesus into their hearts."

  • "Getting to know my campers and then they just say the most random things ever."

  • "My campers were not as excited to be at camp, because they didn’t know how to have a relationship with Christ or didn’t know Christ at all, but through devotions, firesides, and amazing conversations they were adamant about learning more about him. Especially when they decided to read their new bibles instead of playing outside during free time! The turnaround was through Jesus, and his love for my girls."

  • "Seeing my campers open up about some miracles that God performed in the lives of people they know!"

​Camper Highlights/ Parent Feedback:

  • "The program ran smoothly, the activities were engaging and well monitored. The kids weren’t left to their own devices and the leaders engaged with them. It felt like the leaders were really invested in the kiddos. [Camper] came home with new friends, and singing worship songs she’d heard....Whatever you’re doing keep doing it! Good job to your whole team. Thank you for facilitating my kiddos’s favourite week this summer."

  • "[Camper] absolutely loved all of the leaders... The positive impact they had on him was incredible. In fact, [Camper] has already said that when he is old enough, he would love to come back as a volunteer to help other children have the same amazing experience. He enjoyed camp so much that he has decided to register for another week in August. Thank you to all of the leaders for being so kind, encouraging, and supportive. They made a lasting impression on [camper], especially at the age of 11, when strong role models can have such a meaningful impact. He truly looked up to his leaders and came home each day excited to share his experiences. We are very grateful for the positive environment you created and the confidence and memories you helped build."

WEEK 4 - BOARD GAMES

Staff Highlights:

  • "I got to pray with some of my campers and a lot of them grew more comfortable in praying!"

  • "When I was having some problems [Leader] and her campers came up and asked me what was wrong and then they as a collective proceeded to pray for me"

  • "Me and [Leader] shared our stories and the kids had amazing comments about God and about their stories"

​Camper Highlights/Parent Feedback::

  • "My daughter really connected with [her leader] and I’m so impressed with her leadership and discipleship of [camper]. "

  • "Thank you for caring for our kid like they were part of your family. "

  • "Our kid loved everything, from the food to the leaders to the games."
