Shannon Dean (Coach)
Shannon has been involved with Camp Chestermere since 2010, primarily as a speaker at summer and winter camps and is humbled to take on this role as Director. He has been an educator for the past 13 years and a bivocational pastor since 2005. Shannon, his wife Michelle and their kids Julia and Evan, are excited for the new opportunities that await them at Camp Chestermere. Shannon is passionate using the gifts, talents and abilities God has given him to help others discover their own identities and passions.
Erik Davis (Baloo)
Erik has been a part of the Camp Chestermere Community since 2010 - first as a camper, then staff member, and now on the year round team. Erik has a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership Development with a focus on Youth Ministry and has been working wth youth since 2012. Erik has experienced leading in nearly every capacity at the camp and now wears a hat that includes guest services, CLTD coordinating, kitchen work, and much more. Erik enjoys traveling, music, and going to Bon Jovi concerts (20 total - but who's counting...). Erik's passion for youth and worship brings a vibrant energy to our CLTD program and we are excited to have him on the team.
Vic Niekraszewicz (Papa Smurf)
Vic has been an amazing addition to our team. He and his wife Kathy have helped this place grow in a multitude of ways. Vic loves fishing, boating, and is absolutely crazy about his kids and his grandkids. He's got an amazing heart for people and he has a thousand and one stories to share about his eventful life. Vic always wants to make sure our clients feel at home while they're on site.
Natasha is the newest member of our team and she's a wizard in the office! Natasha studied Insurance, Finance and Business Management with particular focus on marketing, and an extensive background in customer service. She is passionate about travel and wildlife conservation, both of which led her to live in South Africa for a brief time, where she founded a scholarship program that provides resources and opportunities for kids and young adults looking to make a positive environmental impact, study the Big 5, and achieve their licensing as a field guide and/or research assistant. Natasha is so excited for the opportunity to continue working with youth at Camp Chestermere.
Assistant Director Collin Daws (Deuce)
Collin has grown up at Camp Chestermere and has served in many roles here at camp: Cabin Leader, Worship Leader, Male Team Leader, Board Member and now Assistant Director. He is married to Shay (Yoshi) and has just graduated from both the University of Lethbridge with a BA Kinesiology, and Ambrose University with a B.Ed. He currently serves as both our Assistant Director and on the Rocky View School Board as a substitute teacher. Collin came to Christ, was refined in his faith, and is now developing youth and young adults in their walk as disciples at Camp Chestermere.
Heather Allan (Bookie)
Heather has been involved with Camp Chestermere for the last 7 years as a parent of campers, a board member and part time employee. She lives in Langdon with her husband and two boys. Heather is currently doing amazing work serving as the book keeper for the camp. Her oldest child came to Christ at camp and is now a part of the Christian Leadership Training and Discipleship (CLTD) program.
Michelle has been a part of Camp Chestermere in the background ever since her family moved to the camp. Whether it was helping decorate for events, or in the kitchen, she was doing phenomenal work in her support of this place. Now, she's at the forefront as our Kitchen Manager and we couldn't be more excited. Michelle is a fun-loving mother of two who was born in Germany. Her passion for this place and for her kids have really impacted this team in a positive way. Michelle is always looking to accommodate those with dietary concerns and goes out of her way to make sure their experience is just as good as everyone else's.
