Media Coordinator
During the months of May and June, the Seasonal Leadership positions are basically Monday - Friday during the day with limited evening and weekend hosting. During the months of July and August, staff are here from 2:30 on Sundays through to 7:00 on Fridays.
The Media Coordinator will take photos and videos throughout summer camp and assist in the development of promotional material. The Media Coordinator will have access to Camp Chestermere’s social media accounts and will be expected to post regularly to each platform. The Media Coordinator will assist in the execution of the ‘Tik-Tok Making’ activity as outlined by the Program Leads. The Media Coordinator will compile Weekly Highlight Videos. The Media Coordinator will be flexible in working with the Year Round Ministry Team in assisting with tasks that may need to be done. The Media Coordinator will provide leadership for camp clean up during the week and at the end of camp.
The Media Coordinator will report to the Camp Coordinator and Executive Director and agree to contribute to the ministry efforts of Camp Chestermere. Camp Chestermere is a Christian Ministry Organization whose mission statement is - Camp Chestermere creates A Place to Belong for youth and community by representing the love of Jesus in the way we Build Relationships, Create Experiences and Develop Leaders so that we are a gift to the community.
Organizationally, Camp Chestermere has three areas of leadership - Year Round Ministry Team, Seasonal Leadership, and Seasonal Staff. The Year Round Ministry Team provides leadership to all Seasonal Leadership and Seasonal Staff. Seasonal Leadership has oversight of the Seasonal Staff. As a part of the Seasonal Leadership Team, the Media Coordinator will provide spiritual leadership and support to Seasonal Staff. It is understood that the Seasonal Leadership Team will be people of prayer, love and celebration, and who practice relational integrity.
Medic
Camp Chestermere is hiring two Camp Medic’s for the Summer 2023 season. During the months of May and June, the Seasonal Leadership positions are basically Monday - Friday during the day with limited evening and weekend hosting. During the months of July and August, staff are here from 2:30 on Sundays through to 7:00 on Fridays. During the months of May and June, the Camp Medic will assist in the hosting of activity days, hosting of user and rental groups, help with the setup of program areas, attend camp promotion opportunities and prep cabins and/or other areas for the summer. Weekend and evening hosting will be requested of all Seasonal Leadership Staff, in which case, day’s in lieu will be given.
In addition, the Camp Medic will prepare the medic area including the medic’s office and infirmary, organize and purchase medical supplies, and work on safety and emergency procedures. The Camp Medic will greet campers as they arrive and sign in their medications, administer medications to campers as needed, sign out medications at the end of camps, and respond to emergency and medical situations as needed. The Camp Medic will record all medical interactions between campers and staff and will stay in constant communication with the Camp Coordinator and Executive Director in regards to situations as they arise. The Camp Medic will be available 24 hours a day for campers/staff who may become ill during the evening. Must have a minimum qualification of Standard First Aid and CPR. More qualifications are an asset. Camp Chestermere will pay for the Camp Medic to take their Med Admin if they do not have it.

Worship/Discipleship Pastor

During the months of May and June, the Worship/Discipleship Pastor will assist in the hosting of activity days, hosting of user and rental groups, help with the setup of program areas, attend camp promotion opportunities, and prep cabins and/or other areas for the summer. Weekend and evening hosting will be required of all Seasonal Leadership staff, in which case, days in lieu will be given.
The Worship/Discipleship Pastor will give oversight to and lead the worship times during evening Fireside (chapel). The Worship/Discipleship Pastor will further be responsible for providing spiritual guidance to Camp Chestermere Staff, Campers and Volunteers. The ability to lead worship is a requirement for this job. The Worship/Discipleship Pastor will attend all Firesides and will work with the Day Camp Team Lead on the Day Camp Fireside Curriculum. The Worship/Discipleship Pastor will work with the Guest Speakers. This includes connecting with them before they come, greeting them when they come on site, preparing their welcome gift basket and helping them with any questions they may have. The Worship/Discipleship Pastor must have a passion for the ministry potential of Camp Ministry, and specifically discipleship at Camp Chestermere. This will be evident through the Worship/Discipleship Pastor’s effort to make connections with campers, families, colleagues, and the broader community. The Worship/Discipleship Pastor needs to be highly relational and should be able to connect and relate to a wide variety of campers, both in interests and age levels.
