Overnight Info
Registration:
- Registration can be done over the phone (if your child has attended in past years), online or in person. Forms can also be printed off the website, filled out and faxed or mailed to the camp office. You will receive an email just prior to your child's week at camp that contains information on pick-up and drop off times, packing list and other information pertaining to your child's week.
- To register by phone or in person, please have on hand your child's Health Care card, as well as information regarding any allergies or medical conditions they might have. Parents of overnight campers should also have the top 4 activity choices for their week at camp ready (see: Activities) so we can record activity preferences.
- For greatest convenience, and to assure a spot at camp, please register as early as possible. Registrations will be taken up to 4 days before the start of the camp you wish to register your child in.
Accommodations & Activities:
- The boys sleep 8 - 10 in each cabin (bunk bed style) with 1 - 2 cabin leaders (aged 16 - 24 years) per cabin. Girls sleep in a triplex (3-sectioned cabin) which houses up to 30 girls (8-10 in each room with 1-2 cabin leaders). The boys have an indoor toilet within each cabin and a shower house situated behind their cabins. The girls have indoor toilets, sinks and showers within each triplex.
- Tuck Shop (the on-site candy store) is open every afternoon for children to spend up to $3.00 per day; pop, candy, chips, ice cream bars etc. are sold there everyday, as well as bibles, necklaces, bracelets, t-shirts and hoodies (campers are also welcome to purchase apparel when parents come pick them up on friday). You are welcome to prepay for this along with your registration.
- If your child is attending camp with a friend and would like to bunk together, place the friend's first & last name on the registration form under the section: 'Preferred Roommate'. We try to place campers within the same age in each cabin (preferably no more than 1 year apart).
Medical:
- We have a medic on site at all times who can attend to any camper injuries, and will hand out all camper medication. We are located minutes from the Chestermere fire hall and about 20 min from the closest hospital, and all staff go through a police check and have basic first aid training. We do not tolerate bullying at our camp and will send a child home if he/she is caught doing so.
Allergies:
- If your child has any medical or dietary restrictions/allergies, please include them on the child's registration form and we will try to plan the menu accordingly to accommodate the child's specific diet. We can also store speciality foods (gluten/lactose free etc.) for them during their week at camp. (Please contact the office to prearrange such services).
Payment:
- We take payment by Mastercard, Visa, Cheque or Cash. Payment can be made in portions as long as we receive complete payment on the first day your child comes to camp.
Cancellation:
- If you withdraw with sufficient notice (3-5 days before your camp date starts), you will receive a full refund, but if you wait until registration day or if your child leaves after a few days, there is no refund given. In case of early withdrawal for medical reasons or family emergencies, refunds will be provided on a prorated basis as reviewed by the Camp Director.
