Children ages 5-13 are welcome to join us for a week of fun-filled Day Camps (Over Night camps begin at age 7). Campers will take part in all activities that camp has to offer in a safe, well supervised environment, where activities are geared to their specific age group. We operate with a 1:5 leader-to-camper ratio, ensuring all campers will be taken care of and accounted for.
A Day Camp day is filled with numerous activities, fit to be appropriate for whatever age group the camper belongs to. The ages are split into 3 groups; ages 5-7, 8-9, 10-13. Activities include games, camp activities; wall climbing, power tubing, swimming/beach time, archery, art spot, duct tape, kayaking, smores at the campfire, a morning Fireside (camp songs with a 15-20 minute talk from the camp speaker), down time to rest and relax in the afternoon (while the leaders grab lunch) and much more! Sometimes our older age groups will be taken to a park to enjoy a day of exploration & a picnic. You will be notified on such an occasion.
As we are a Christian based camp, the morning Fireside is a time when we teach children fun songs and Bible stories & Christian values. This is not a time to "sell" them on Christianity, more a time for them to listen to good values such as accepting one another, serving each other, learning to work through our differences through understanding & co-operation, etc.
Every day you pack a lunch and send it along with them. We provide water and a snack and the campers are given an opportunity during the day to visit the tuck shop to spend up to $3 per day ($2 for ages 5-7). Items such as candy, chips, icecream, pop, T-shirts, Hoodies, etc. can be purchased.
We have a medic on site and is immediately called to give aid to a child who needs them. In the case of an emergency, you will be notified immediately by another staff member while the medic attends to your child's needs. If your child requires medication during the day, we do prefer our medic to distribute it rather than our cabin leaders to your child. Please let the Day Camp Team Leader know of your child's needs when you drop them off in the morning.
