Campers Assistance Program
It is our philosophy that no camper should be refused access to camp because of the financial circumstances of their parents, and we endeavour to honour each request. However, we do ask for as much financial participation as possible from the parent. Normally, family income greater than $2000/month would reduce the amount of subsidy available. We DO accept post-dated cheques to help reduce the impact of paying for camp all at once.

Research has shown that children who experience a non-stimulating, uneventful summer often experience the "summer slide"; they lack a readiness to return to school in September.
The time at camp also offers many of our young clients a time away from the stressors of home and a chance to "just be a kid". The positive memory a child has from being at summer camp has an impact that can't be measured.
We, the YWCA of Calgary, value our working relationship with you and thank you for your generosity in assisting many of our young clients to attend your camp.
