Statement of Faith
We believe in:
The Holy Scriptures as originally given by God
The Bible, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy; and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
God, existing eternally as a Trinity
His supreme deity, one, and only one, living and true God in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ
His miraculous virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven in the flesh, His intercession there for the saints and His return in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit
His personality and power living within believers, to guide, teach and empower them to live a life pleasing to God; that He gives believers special gifts and Christ like characteristics for a dynamic life of service.
The Salvation of lost and sinful people
That a person cannot be saved through their own efforts, but by grace alone through the mediation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who took our place through the sacrifice of His shed blood. This salvation provides for full payment and forgiveness of all sins for those who personally receive Christ by faith.
Witnessing and conduct
Living out the gospel of Christ for all the world, both by speech and action, which is the obligation of every believer.
The eternal destiny of the saved and the lost
That those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Saviour will receive eternal life and the assurance of salvation.
This salvation is both a life on earth of joy with Christ and upon death, a heaven with God. Those who do not believe will be cast into hell, eternally separated from God.
